It started off as a bit of banter on Twitter…

It quickly progressed to some serious questions about the future of “cars”.

What is a car? Is it a dirty internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle? Or is it a clean, mean and green electric vehicle (EV)?

Really, they’re all cars. But for some reason only one is known as a car. The other is just called an EV.

What does this mean? How does it reflect the investor psyche to keep calling EVs, EVs instead of cars?

By the time we call them cars, will the party be over and the investment opportunity missed?
