In today’s Exponential Investor…
- Swelteringly hot
- Not enough wind
- Why is my bill more expensive?
It was a hot one this week in England…
… unusually hot.
Is this a sign of things to come?
Whatever it means, there’s one thing we can’t avoid looking at this week.
Why did the UK have to “switch on” a coal-fired power plant in order to meet energy demands?
Aren’t we supposed to be trending towards “net zero”?
Isn’t the future of energy in renewables?
It all sounds good in theory. But what happens if renewable energy isn’t enough to meet our growing demand for energy?
What happens when there are millions of electric vehicles charging at home every night?
What happens as our homes get “smarter” and more connected? When our insatiable appetite for energy exceeds what can be created from renewables?
Is it that our real “green” future is underpinned by better “dirty” energy?
There are a lot of questions about green energy that need answering. Not least the fact that even though we’re seeing more renewable energy generation, energy bills continue to rise.
Isn’t it supposed to be cheaper? More abundant?
So why is your bill growing larger?
There is a lot to unpack and look at in this week’s Exponential Investor Podcast – tune in below.
